Students in the College of Arts and Sciences have several opportunities available to them to customize their education. From choosing their general education requirements, to deciding what language to take, to decided whether to double major or take on minors, your academic plan can be as unique as you are. Because of this, CASA offers several services to help students map out their academic careers. We invite you to explore those services listed here, and hope that these resources will benefit you in your advising appointments. Here is a guide on how to make an advising appointment with your advisor via Starfish.
In addition, we encourage you to reach out to your advisors for information about academic resources such as tutoring and supplemental instruction even if you are performing well, but especially if you are facing academic difficulties. One bad semester does not need to, and often will not, ruin your academic goals. However, there are many things to consider in such situations, and your advisor can help you navigate retakes, appeals, and financial aid considerations by directing you to the appropriate offices. Information about several of these topics is available on this web-page. Most importantly, if you need help getting back on track, contact your advisor as early as possible so that we may best assist you.
