What is the drop/add period? How is the different from withdrawing from a class?

The add/drop period is typically during the first week of each semester. This allows students to change their schedule penalty free for the courses, times, and locations on campus. Dropping a class during this period does not impact your grade or take away from the 16 credit hours that you may withdraw from during your time here at UNCG.
