B.A. in History, Winthrop University (2009); M.A. in Geography, UNCG (2015).
I am a fourth-year PhD student in the Department of Geography, Environment, and Sustainability at UNCG, and I’ve advised with CASA since 2018. I teach introductory courses primarily in human geography and world regional geography; and my research interests are generally in the areas of political geography, sovereignty, borders, and the Caribbean. My hobbies include travel, pretending to enjoy running, and cheering on the San Francisco 49ers, Winthrop Eagles, and UNCG Spartans. I’m also a public address announcer at sporting events – I’ve been “the voice” of UNCG Spartans men’s basketball since 2017.
