The College of Arts and Sciences Advising Center (CASA) is here to assist but if you have 29 or more earned hours you have an assigned advisor in your major department. This is the person who will see you for advising each semester. This advisor will also give you your advising code so that you can register for classes. If you are a new transfer student you will be assigned an advisor in your major department after classes have have begun during your first semester at UNCG.
You can find your advisor by looking it up in UNCGenie. Here are the instructions:
Advising at UNCG is required in order to receive your advising code and to register for classes. You will need a new advising code for each new semester. At UNCG advising is done mid-semester. students schedule appointments with instructor or advisor. If your advisor does not use Starfish for appointments you should contact them at the email address listed in Starfish. Please include your student ID# (this is the 9 digit number beginning with 88#######).
